Department Overview:


The implementation of the Broadway application for eFX trading is a strategic project, securing ING's place in a fast-paced market. This project has strict timelines with an essential focus on delivery. 


Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:


As a DevOps Engineer in our eFX Digitalisation transformation programme, you will help deliver the key milestones to fully implement the Broadway application in the production environment. As part of a cross-border (London, Amsterdam and Bucharest) squad you work in an Agile/Scrum way, on the backlog prioritized by a Product Owner and you demo your features to your fellow squad members.


You work with your peers to ensure all code released to production is robust, secure and bug free, utilising automated testing and peer-to-peer code review techniques. In addition, you will offer support to users and help close incidents directed at the squad in a timely manner.


Candidate Profile




Essential:             A graduate in Computer Science or related degree.





  • Strong knowledge and experience of working on eFX initiatives
  • Minimum 5+ years Java development
  • Code Source Management: Git, Gitlab
  • Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps - builds, pipelines, automated testing
  • Automated Testing - Junit or similar
  • Scripting languages such as Shell, Groovy and Python.
  • Database: MS SQL

  • Knowledge of Continuous Delivery and integration technologies
  • Monitoring: Grafana, Graphite or similar
  • Ansible Playbooks - automation
  • Service Now - Backlog Management, Incident Management
