Role title: Project Manager / Senior Project Manager - Contract 

Location: Bristol  

Where in the world of OVO will I be working and what will I be doing?

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to join OVO’s Projects & Change Team. You will have extensive experience of technical delivery and business change; you’ll back this up with formal training in change management; but most important you will have genuine talent and a passion for problem solving. You will keep multiple teams motivated and ensure that OVO achieves major strategic objectives.

Your objectives:

  • Take complete ownership of your project; delivering at speed but never compromising on quality;
  • Bring the best of OVO’s wealth of talented individuals to mobilise highly effective delivery teams;
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End to end project management in a highly Agile environment 
  • Excellent Senior stakeholder management particularly at C-level
  • Project kick-offs including success criteria definition
  • In-life reporting and forecasting on project timings, cost, and scope
  • Budget management in excess of £1m
  • Risk and issue management
  • Team management
  • Benefits tracking and realisation
  • Multiple supplier management and contract negotiation
  • Business readiness and transition to a stable BAU environment

We’d love to hear from you if you...

  • 3+ years experience of successfully managing medium to large projects, that includes the leadership of cross functional teams (such as multiple product teams)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with both outstanding verbal and written communications
  • An expert in Agile theory, principles and techniques, and experience with applying Agile to a variety of projects
  • Significant experience of projects that include technical and business process change
  • The ability to understand the detail, whilst maintaining a strategic view on the project parameters
  • Experience of working within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Energy utility processes and technologies  (desirable)
  • Flexibility and the ability to change focus quickly but not lose sight of what needs doing
  • Ability to time-manage and prioritise workload
  • The aptitude to go that extra mile for your customer
  • Formal training and certifications in change management
  • Leadership training and certification
