Cloud Infrastructure Architect - Private Cloud, Openstack, Redhat


Mosaic Island are experts in Design and Assurance of complex IT change - from strategy through to delivery - enabling our clients to accelerate and exceed their business ambitions with confidence. 

We have a requirement for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join the team, working on an exciting project with our client. You will be responsible for the overall end-to-end design / architecture of a Private Cloud infrastructure programme, including connectivity, DNS, security, operations/ service management etc, as well as the cloud deployment itself. The role-holder will need to actively drive decisions, taking account of technical strategy / practicality, priorities, delivery plans etc, whilst always mindful of financial targets and constraints.

Essential Skills Required for the Infrastructure Cloud Architect:

•Experience of Infrastructure design and delivery, specifically private cloud based on RedHat Open Stack, including supporting aspects such as connectivity, DNS, security, operability etc.

•Experience of design and delivery of private cloud deployments in a major enterprise

•Qualified in computer science or similar field, or have equivalent proven hand-ons experience and track-record.

•Emphasis / specialism to encompass infrastructure / cloud.

•Ability to communicate fluently orally and in writing and can present complex information to both technical and business stakeholders at all levels

•Able to work in poorly defined environments with minimum guidance

We are paying competitive rates for this role with the opportunity to work on an exciting cutting-edge consultancy engagement on an initial 6 to 12 months basis. The role will be based at our client’s offices in Slough.
