What we're looking for We're looking for a Developer-in-Test to work across testing of responsive React website and API, making sure the quality of our work is of the highest standard. You will be identifying and prioritising issues as well creating reports. You will work both on manual testing but also automation to ensure full test coverage enabling the team to deliver on client specifications with confidence.

You will report to the Product Lead.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Writing test plans, test strategies and associating test documentation
  • Experience in API automation testing
  • Setting up company processes to ensure minimum levels of testing are adhered to reduce live bugs
  • Define and articulate the different testing phases on a project.
  • Escalates any outstanding issues and concerns to the internal project team
  • Producing consistency for all QA documentation
  • Development and maintenance of test suites
  • Identifying industry standards for browsers and devices and setting up controls to ensure items are tested
  • Involvement in project scoping and estimating
  • Bug discovery
  • Escalating any outstanding issues and concerns to internal project team and championing quality at all times.

Knowledge And Skills

  • Strong knowledge of and REST
  • Experience of working in an Agile development environment
  • Automated testing experience
  • Defect workflow and tracking experience
  • Demonstrable work on API and responsive websites
  • Knowledge of contemporary web software QA tools and methodologies
  • Experience of working in fast-paced environment
  • A pro-active, practical and diplomatic approach
