The Environment Agency is undertaking a programme to explore the centralisation of selected organisational capability within Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA), initially focusing on digital and data capability.
The programme will begin through a series of pilots within selected Environment Agency directorates. Each pilot will establish a detailed understanding of the capability currently operating within that area, including people, roles, responsibilities, skills, activities, processes, technology, tooling, funding and organisational dependencies.
The Business Analyst 's will lead and support organisational discovery and baseline analysis within their allocated pilot area.
The role will involve working directly with teams, managers, subject matter experts, programme colleagues and external consultants to gather, validate and structure information about how digital and data capability currently operates.
The analyst will help establish a reliable evidence base from which the programme can understand what capability exists, how it is organised and deployed, where dependencies exist, and what would need to be considered in any future transition into STA.
