Location: Wiltshire (travel required)

Security Clearance: SC Clearance required

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Security Consultant to support a critical programme within a secure government environment. This contract role requires on-site presence in Wiltshire, so candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed.

Key Requirements:

• Active SC (Security Check) Clearance is essential
• Strong background in security consulting within government or defence sectors
• Demonstrable knowledge of information assurance, risk management, and secure system design
• Experience working with sensitive or classified information

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert security advice across projects and programmes
• Conduct risk assessments and support mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support secure system architecture and design reviews
• Contribute to documentation, reporting, and governance activities

Skills & Experience:

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a highly secure, regulated environment
• Experience in defence, government, or similar high-security sectors preferred

Additional Information:

• This role is inside IR35
• Travel to Wiltshire is required
• Candidates must already hold active SC Clearance
