Role Description

This is a contract role for an Azure DevOps Engineer, designed as a hybrid position based in the London area, United Kingdom, with the flexibility to work remotely on some occasions. The role involves designing, implementing, and managing automated pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and integration of software applications. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to build and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC), ensure system reliability, apply best practices for security, and optimize the development and operations workflow. Additionally, responsibilities will include monitoring systems and resolving performance or operational issues as they arise.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and experience with tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar frameworks
• Strong knowledge of Software Development processes and familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions
• Extensive experience in System Administration with expertise in Linux-based environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and knowledge of scalable cloud architectures
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for systems diagnostics and performance optimization
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Certifications in Microsoft Azure or DevOps practices are a plus
