ServiceNow Developer at Department for Work & Pensions, UK Office/Remote, 12 Months, £Contract Rate

Core Purpose

The Function Assessment Service (FAS) is undergoing ongoing implementation. This role will complete development work in this area and deliver business enhancements to the DWP Place offering to support the department in meeting its objectives.

As a ServiceNow Developer you will ensure development within your feature team meets stated requirements and the acceptable standards defined within the PDU. You will provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point for other developers and members of the feature team.

You will work within and contribute to, the ServiceNow Development Lifecycle as part of a delivery team focused on one or more products. You will provide specialist technical support to feature teams and projects ensuring definition and delivery of functional requirements against the agreed roadmap. You will also be responsible for ensuring performant and secure configuration of the products within your feature team.

As a ServiceNow Developer you will:

• Deliver new configuration and functionality to the ServiceNow Production instance in line with the DWP Software Delivery Lifecycle and DWP Place roadmap.
• Complete assigned stories or escalate blockers to ensure development is delivered to expected standards and within agreed timescales.
• Work with the Delivery Manager as an integral part of the ServiceNow Product Delivery Unit.
• Collaborate with other members of the feature team and DWP internal teams and end user communities.
• Create and maintain clear documentation.

Essential:

• Minimum 2 years of hands on development experience on the ServiceNow platform.
• Experience building, configuring and implementing ServiceNow features, applications and integrations.
• Experience of troubleshooting and resolving complex issues across an enterprise tooling infrastructure, individually or as part of a team.
• Experience working in large scale organisations and/or Public Sector environments with ServiceNow implementations.
• Experience of delivering solutions within an agile framework.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Angular, HTML, CSS.
• ITIL Qualification or relevant experience/skills.
• Current ServiceNow platform Certification.
