Power BI Embedded (Azure A SKU) Consultant – White-Label Analytics at Unitu Ltd, Remote, £Freelance Rate

We are looking for a senior Power BI Embedded consultant with hands-on experience delivering white-label embedded analytics using Power BI Embedded (Azure service / A SKU).

This is not a Power BI Service / Pro / Premium role. Our reports are embedded into our own application and end users do not have Power BI licenses.

The role is primarily consultative and architectural, with hands-on development support where required.

What We’re Building
- Embedded Power BI reports and dashboards inside a custom application
- White-label analytics for external users
- Capacity-based billing using Azure Power BI Embedded (A SKU)
- Secure, scalable architecture suitable for multi-tenant use

Required Experience (must have)

Please apply only if you have real experience with Power BI Embedded, including:
- Power BI Embedded (Azure A SKU)
- Embedding via REST APIs and SDKs
- Embed tokens and authentication flows
- Azure AD / Entra ID app registrations & service principals
- Understanding of App owns data vs User owns data models
- Row-Level Security (RLS) in embedded scenarios
- Capacity sizing, scaling, pausing/resuming, and cost control

Responsibilities
- Advise on end-to-end embedded analytics architecture
- Validate or design the Power BI Embedded setup
- Support implementation of embedding and authentication
- Help troubleshoot performance, security, and capacity issues
- Act as a long-term technical advisor as the product evolves
- Be on hand/communicate in UK time (9am - 6pm)

- Have you worked with Power BI Embedded (A SKU) (not just Power BI Service or Premium)?
- Which embedding model(s) have you used (App owns data / User owns data) and why?
- How did you handle authentication and embed token generation?
- Describe a project where you embedded Power BI into a custom application.

Proposals that do not address these points will not be considered.

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: £24,420.00-£60,611.16 per year
