We are seeking an experienced Freelance Digital Project Manager to support our delivery team on key digital initiatives. This role is ideal for a contractor who has previously worked in a digital agency environment delivering consumer-facing digital products such as websites and mobile applications.

You will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams across design and technology. We’re looking for someone who can quickly integrate into ongoing workstreams, provide delivery leadership, and help maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of consumer-facing software products, working alongside a Programme Manager/Director.


  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) within our Scrum delivery squad.


  • Establish and maintain project reporting, controls, and delivery tracking.


  • Identify, escalate, and manage risks and issues


  • Act as the day-to-day primary contact for internal teams and program manager


  • Build and maintain productive relationships and support the squad through any delivery challenges.


  • Own and manage project budgets, team allocation, and deliverables to ensure the engagement remains within agreed scope.


  • Capture, refine, and document project requirements as needed.


What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience delivering consumer-facing digital projects end-to-end, ideally in a digital agency setting.


  • Strong background managing web and/or mobile application projects.


  • Hands-on experience delivering in an Agile Scrum environment.


  • Solid understanding of web and mobile technologies, API interactions, CMS workflows, and software development processes (no coding expected).


  • Proficiency using Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence (or similar).


  • Experience tracking team velocity, forecasting delivery, and managing scope.


  • Demonstrated ability to assess and improve ways of working to enhance efficiency and product quality.
