Developer Lead/Solution Architect at Striver Technologies Limited, Remote, £Competitive Rate

£30,000 - £40,000 per day

Contract Description

Location: Remote (UK preferred)

Type: Full-time or part-time (open to fractional/contract to start)

Start date: ASAP

Salary/Rate: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced developer who can lead architecture, engineering, and technical direction as we take a fast-moving MVP and make it production-ready. You’ll work directly with the founder/CPO and a junior technical PM/developer to shape the system, improve the codebase, and make smart bets that support scale and sustainability.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves early-stage product work but brings a senior lens to architecture, dev practices, and future team structure.

What You’ll Do

  • Set and maintain the technical architecture across mobile app, backend, and integrations
  • Establish dev standards, tooling, and guardrails to keep the pace high but the code clean
  • Mentor and unblock a junior dev/PM working in the stack daily
  • Identify scaling risks early and own improvements across auth, storage, data, and API design
  • Work in the stack directly (React Native, Supabase, Railway microservices)
  • Help define the shape of the future dev team and participate in early hiring decisions
  • Guide integration of AI-generated or assisted code into maintainable workflows

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React Native (Expo), TypeScript
  • Backend: Supabase (Postgres, Auth, Edge Functions), Node microservices on Railway
  • Tooling: GitHub, EAS Build, Slack, Linear, AI pair programming tools (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.)
  • Other: Mux (video), Ondato (identity), Firebase FCM, Stripe (optional),

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience in full-stack or backend-heavy roles, ideally in fast-moving environments
  • Confident working in (or adapting to) React Native + Supabase (or similar)
  • Experience scaling early-stage products (auth, data models, rate limiting, error handling, etc.)
  • Strong architectural instincts - you know when to move fast and when to dig in
  • Comfortable mentoring juniors and working in a lightly structured product environment
  • Familiarity or curiosity about working with AI-generated code in a modern dev pipeline
  • Optional: experience with microservices, observability, security, or platform ownership

Why Join Us?

  • We move fast, ship real things, and use AI to accelerate everything, this isn’t a theory lab
  • You’ll have real influence on product direction, architecture, and early hires
  • No process for process’ sake, just great builders, direct feedback, and meaningful problems
  • Flexible working style, open to fractional, freelance-to-perm, or full-time depending on fit

How to Apply

Tell us a bit about your background and why this kind of role excites you. We’d love to see examples of past work (GitHub, projects, architecture docs, war stories, etc.).
