Senior Python Developer with Asset Management at UST Global, London, £Contract Rate

Location: London

Hybrid working model-3 days from the client office in Central London

Permanent preferably/ Contract inside IR35/ Fixed term contract(With possible duration for Long term)

Candidates with shorter notice periods and full work authorization in the UK will be given preference.

We are seeking a highly experienced Python Engineer to join our client's Business Platforms Investment Technology Services team. This role is ideal for someone with deep backend development expertise in Python and a strong understanding of the Asset Management domain, particularly in areas like LDI, Wealth, and Portfolio Management.

You will be instrumental in designing and delivering scalable, cloud-integrated solutions that support investment professionals with robust tools and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python (FastAPI or similar frameworks).
• Collaborate with investment and operational teams to deliver impactful technology solutions.
• Integrate applications with Azure or AWS cloud platforms, focusing on CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to the development of intuitive front-end interfaces using React (as needed).
• Maintain clear documentation for code, APIs, and processes.
• Work in an agile environment, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.

Must-Have Skills

• Expert-level Python development experience (FastAPI preferred).
• Strong understanding of the Asset Management domain (e.g., LDI, Wealth, Fixed Income).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• • Front-end development with React.
• Experience with .NET / C#.
• Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., CosmosDB, DocumentDB).
  • Experience with Apache Airflow, Snowflake, or microservices architecture.
• Awareness of cloud security best practices.
