We are currently seeking a highly skilled IAM Security Specialist to join our technology and security practice. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring secure access management and identity governance across complex enterprise environments.

Role Overview

As an IAM Security Specialist at Valcon, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining identity and access management solutions that safeguard business-critical systems and data. You will be hands-on in developing IAM architectures, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with security and governance frameworks.

This position requires both strategic design capability and practical, technical execution, ensuring that IAM systems are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of IAM solutions, ensuring secure and efficient access management across the enterprise.

• Manage the full identity lifecycle, including provisioning, authentication, authorisation, and de-provisioning.

• Develop and maintain IAM architectures, standards, and best practices.

• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to define and deliver IAM strategies aligned to organisational security goals.

• Oversee governance processes for roles, entitlements, and access certifications.

• Support day-to-day operational IAM tasks, including troubleshooting, configuration, and access reviews.

• Integrate IAM tools with enterprise applications, particularly SAP and related systems.

• Provide technical expertise on SailPoint, SAP security, and other identity governance tools.

• Ensure compliance with information security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of IAM capabilities, including automation, monitoring, and reporting.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with deep knowledge of identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorisation, and governance.

• Strong understanding of IAM architecture and the ability to design end-to-end identity solutions.

• Hands-on experience with SailPoint, SAP IAM/Security, or equivalent enterprise IAM platforms.

• Familiarity with integration of IAM tools into complex enterprise environments (SAP, cloud, and on-premises systems).

• Good understanding of security principles, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices.

• Experience working across both strategic design and operational IAM delivery.

• Background in technology architecture or solution design highly desirable.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in IAM and security-focused roles.

• Experience designing and deploying IAM solutions across large enterprise environments.

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or vendor certifications (eg SailPoint, Microsoft, SAP) are highly desirable.

• Knowledge of SAP Security Concepts (authorisations, roles, profiles) advantageous.
