Finance Systems & Process Analyst at Tindle Newspapers Limited, Newton Abbot/Remote, 3-4 Months, £350-£450 per day

About the role

We’re seeking a proactive Finance Systems & Process Analyst to support a short-term project improving the integration between our CRM (Naviga Gemstone) and finance platform (AccountsIQ).

This role is hands-on — you’ll be expected to investigate, rationalise, and help resolve data and process discrepancies between commercial and financial systems. Beyond analysis, you’ll work directly within the tools to validate data, test improvements, and ensure accurate flow between systems.

You’ll work closely with the Group IT Director, Finance team, and external suppliers to identify root causes of misalignment, propose effective solutions, and help implement them, ensuring clean, reliable financial reporting across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Map, review, and document how financial data flows between CRM (Naviga Gemstone) and AccountsIQ.

• Identify, diagnose, and help resolve data or process issues affecting financial accuracy or reconciliation.

• Analyse control accounts, reconciliations, and reporting outputs across multiple regions.

• Work hands-on within systems to validate data, run reports, and support testing of process improvements.

• Collaborate with Finance, IT, and suppliers to test and validate end-to-end data integrity.

• Create clear process documentation and reporting frameworks to support ongoing efficiency.

• Support the wider goal of improving financial accuracy, visibility, and confidence in the data.

Required skills and experience

• Strong understanding of finance processes: journals, control accounts, reconciliation, and reporting cycles.

• Experience working with or alongside finance systems – specifically AccountsIQ,.

• Familiarity with CRM-to-finance integrations — ideally Naviga Gemstone or comparable CRM platforms with custom integrations.

• Excellent analytical and documentation skills, with strong attention to detail.

• Comfortable working across departments and translating between Finance and IT teams.

Desirable

• Experience working within a financial role with strong IT or Business Analysis skills

• Background in process improvement or financial systems change.

• Working knowledge of data interfaces, reporting tools, or financial controls.
