Contract Description

We are looking for a Senior Azure DevOps Engineer with 6-10 years of experience in managing cloud infrastructure, automation, and CI/CD delivery within the insurance domain. The ideal candidate will collaborate with software development, testing, and operations teams to ensure smooth, secure, and high-quality deployments of mission-critical insurance applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for insurance products and enterprise systems.

  • Build and manage scalable Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.

  • Lead automation initiatives for policy, claims, underwriting, and customer portal applications.

  • Deploy and manage containers (Docker) and Kubernetes clusters (AKS).

  • Implement infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting through Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, or Grafana.

  • Integrate security and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines adhering to insurance data governance standards.

  • Collaborate with architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams for cloud governance and environment management.

  • Drive disaster recovery (DR), backup, and high-availability strategies for critical insurance workloads.

  • Mentor junior DevOps engineers and participate in DevOps roadmap planning.

Technical Skills:

  • Azure DevOps Services - Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts.

  • Azure Infrastructure - App Services, Virtual Networks, Key Vaults, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, API Management.

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform/ARM/Bicep.

  • Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

  • CI/CD Automation: YAML pipelines, versioning, branch strategy, approvals, and release management.

  • Monitoring Tools: Azure Monitor, App Insights, Grafana, or Splunk.

  • Source Control: Git and Git branching workflows.

  • Security & Compliance: Integration with SonarQube, OWASP, or SAST/DAST tools.

Domain Expertise:

  • Familiarity with insurance systems such as policy administration, claims management, underwriting, or billing platforms.

  • Experience working with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or custom insurance applications.

  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, GDPR, IRDAI guidelines).
