Instead, we are excited to invite talented Senior Consulting Engineers to join Armakuni Network – our strategic internal program designed to build a dynamic and readily available network of highly skilled contractors. The Synapses program empowers us to rapidly deploy the precise talent our clients need, minimising delays and maximising engagement momentum for future project-based opportunities.

About the Armakuni Network Program:

Armakuni Network is your gateway to engaging with exciting client projects that align with your expertise. At the heart of this program is a meticulous vetting process, ensuring that each contractor aligns with Armakuni's core values, technical standards, and consultancy prowess. This guarantees that only the most qualified professionals join our pool. We use a sophisticated skill tagging system to categorise contractors by specific proficiencies, enabling us to quickly match the perfect contractor to each engagement's unique requirements.

What you would do when engaged on a client project:

Your role will be diverse and impactful, varying based on client needs. You might:

• Design, build, and deliver bespoke, immersive training programs on modern software development practices.
• Embed within a client team, delivering value while enhancing their practices through your coaching skills.
• Lead an Armakuni team on an outcome-based software delivery project, architecting and iteratively implementing simple solutions to complex business needs.
• Collaborate with our internal teams, bringing technical expertise to a range of projects, potentially focused on cloud engineering or infrastructure work.

We champion modern software engineering methods and you'll be working in agile environments, often utilising XP practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Pair Programming to improve communication, collaboration, and delivery speed.

What you'll bring to our Network Community:

The most crucial attributes are your attitude and learning agility. We are looking for individuals who are:

• Bright, flexible, intellectually curious, and self-aware.
• Passionate about learning, sharing knowledge, and continuous improvement.
• Experienced in software engineering, and/or data teams in an enterprise environment.
• Deeply knowledgeable in Cloud Native principles and practices (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Proficient in programming with multiple languages (e.g., Java, Python, Node, Javascript, React – though we are open to others).
• Understanding of software engineering architecture.
• An advocate for practices such as Pair Programming, Ensemble (Mob) Programming, Test-Driven Development, and continuous integration.
• Practised in developing maintainable software and agile ways of working.
• Experienced in facilitation, coaching, or mentoring.
• Experienced in leading a team and/or driving change.
• Able to influence and manage client stakeholders.
• Possessing great communication skills.
• Self-sufficient, with a high level of empathy to understand and immerse yourself in client aims.
• Willingness to travel within the UK, including occasional overnight stays, is a requirement for client engagements.
