Lead Salesforce Engineer - Contractor

The Role: 

We're looking for a Lead Salesforce Engineer to guide technical implementation, own solution design, and bring hands-on leadership to our Salesforce delivery. You’ll work across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud to translate business needs into scalable, maintainable solutions. This role is ideal for a senior engineer or developer looking to step into a lead role, with direct impact on architecture and implementation decisions.

What you will do:  

  • Lead the technical design and development of Salesforce projects
  • Translate requirements into scalable and maintainable solutions using Salesforce best practices
  • Work closely with stakeholders, developers, and admins to define and deliver project goals
  • Build automation using Flows, Apex, and LWC
  • Design and implement integrations with external platforms using REST/SOAP APIs or middleware
  • Guide junior developers and admins through code reviews, mentorship, and technical guidance
  • Evaluate existing setups and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and implement relevant features
  • Document technical specifications, architecture diagrams, and data models

Required Skills: 

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Salesforce
  • Strong development experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud
  • Familiarity with designing data models and secure sharing settings
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs or middleware
  • Ability to communicate technical ideas to both developers and business stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Gearset, or Copado)
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and deployment strategies in Salesforce

Nice to have Skills:  

  • Experience in Marketing Cloud, CPQ, or Field Service
  • Experience with DevOps tools like Gearset, Copado, or Jenkins
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Familiarity with JavaScript, CSS, and front-end technologies
  • Experience supporting enterprise-level Salesforce implementations

Education & Certifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect (preferred)
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and II
  • Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer or Data Architecture Designer (a plus)
