Freelance Web Developer – Dorset (Local Only)

Project-Based Flexible Hours On-Site Check-Ins Required

We’re a high-end van conversion company based in Dorset, looking for a freelance web developer to build out our new website. This is a hands-on, project-based role with long-term support potential. We’re looking for someone local who can pop in now and then, work flexibly, and help us take full control of our site.

What We Need

• A new, fast, responsive website
• Clear user journey from homepage through to either:
• Modifying an existing van
• Commissioning a bespoke new build
• Integration with an externally built vehicle configurator (hosted on a sub-site)
• Simple CMS so our team can update copy, images, and content ourselves
• Built-in SEO foundations (SEOPress, Google Site Kit)
• HubSpot form integration
• Support building pages that include:
• Modification Van page (with pricing and feature info)
• Bespoke build page (showcasing 6 van types – camper, mobile office, etc. leading to six individual configurators)
• Finance page (static content/images)
• Part Exchange page (static content/images)
• Testimonials, Past Builds (video-focused), About, Contact, Partners
• Stock Vehicles uploads (to handover for in-house updates)

What You’ll Bring

• Solid web development experience (WordPress OR custom-coded sites welcome)
• SEO knowledge and plugin setup (SEOPress, Google Site Kit)
• Confidence integrating with HubSpot
• Ability to embed and work around externally managed tools (our configurator is already built)
• A clean, design-aware front-end style
• Clear communication – able to explain things without jargon
• Bonus: UX/UI instincts and design input

What We’re After in a Person

• Dorset-based (or nearby – we need you to pop in occasionally)
• Reliable, independent, and confident in your skills
• Happy to teach us how to update and manage the site once built
• Comfortable working flexibly, this is not full-time or office-based
• Ideally someone interested in longer-term web support and growth with us

Job Types: Fixed term contract, Freelance

Pay: £22,880.00-£59,462.09 per year
