Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for all architectural aspects of the products and services within the Technology Solutions domain, leading the end to end architecture and design for change initiatives and protecting optimal performance across the existing landscape, incorporating technical debt and legacy risk.

Working within the Technology Solutions vertical, provide architect services across the lifecycle stages as required, managing architectural dependencies, constraints, risks and issues. Ensure relevant documentation from internal and external teams is kept up-to-date and is made freely available. Act as an escalation point for solution design decisions. Provide specialist knowledge and consultancy to a variety of stakeholders, influencing choices to support business goals and strategic alignment.

Be proficient in producing high level architectural designs for new and amended systems. Worked in the full architecture lifecycle

Apply architecture governance and standards throughout, ensuring consistency with architecture principles and standards. Maintain an appreciation for emerging solution architecture, analysis and design methodologies, tools and approaches.

Ensure technology integrity to protect, develop and maintain the consistency and efficiency of the end to end platforms, working alongside infrastructure, data and security to ensure integrations and performance are optimal, maximising return on investment. Proactively assess and undertake research activities including proof of concepts (POCs), extending personal and the teams' knowledge in IT architecture, supporting 3rd parties with a constant alignment to the 'direction of travel' towards the desired target architectural state.

Act as a point of contact for analysis and engineering teams, working as a cohesive unit to provide a seamless, optimal, efficient and professional flow of continuous lifecycle delivery, with value at the heart.

Experience of using architectural tools such as Orbus Infinity, SPARXEA, etc.

Experience of the UK mortgage market and products

Experience in the Iress Mortgage Sales and Origination package is desirable
