Role: Implementation Manager (Contract)
Rate: £500 (INSIDE IR35)
Location: Hybrid - Office Twice a week
Duration: 6 months (initial)

We are seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to support a large-scale, complex transformation programme for a national organisation. This business-critical initiative involves replacing Legacy systems and aligning a subsidiary with the group-wide technology stack. You will play a key role in planning and executing the transition, ensuring a smooth integration across multiple technology and business workstreams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate multiple strands of technical release and implementation activity.
- Plan and manage implementation events across various platforms and teams.
- Ensure operational readiness is achieved across all areas, including management of readiness checkpoints.
- Act as the bridge between technical implementation and business readiness (eg, communications, training, UAT support).
- Support both Technology and Business teams throughout the rollout phases.
- Define and document post-go-live support models and Hypercare plans.
- Oversee early life support to ensure issues are resolved within SLAs.
- Provide regular updates and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure transparency and confidence.
Technical and Delivery Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on systems integration and application rollout strategies.
- Design and implement effective technical delivery structures in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Manage end-to-end implementation workflows, coordinating across project delivery, business, service management, and external vendors.
- Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, and interdependencies in collaboration with Project Managers and technical leads.
Required Experience:
- Proven track record of managing large, complex system implementations involving multiple technologies and stakeholders.
- Experience delivering within structured programme environments across both IT and business domains.
- Strong understanding of software implementation life cycles, release planning, and post-go-live support.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels.
