Programme/Enterprise Architect - Inside IR35 - EPOS

We are looking to bring onboard a Programme/Enterprise Architect to join a project we have with the retail space to assist with a large scale EPOS implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides detailed guidance to multi-functional teams through project planning and other large collaboration efforts. Fosters an environment of open communication and problem solving.
  • Provides thought leadership in Solution Design, Solution Architecture and Technology strategy, create cost-optimised, scalable solutions, utilising innovation and efficiency within solution design/improvement.
  • Works closely with chosen technology partners to implement solutions to technology and architecture standards, challenging partners and the status quo where necessary to ensure those standards are met.
  • Develops long term vision of technologies and solutions in the space. Collaborates with Technology leadership in planning and implementing of solution roadmaps.
  • Assists the team in researching solutions, solicits input from outside industry experts and recommends solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Introduce new technologies into where required and show value to at both cost and functional levels.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience of large-scale EPOS solution design, implementation and management.
  • Understanding of Brick & Mortar store retail processes (including store Back Office) a distinct advantage.
  • The Solution Architect must be an excellent communicator, an effective problem solver and be well able to motivate an existing strong technical team.
  • The Solution Architect must be able to, where necessary, push back on partners and hold them to account to ensure the correct result is obtained.
  • Experience in TOGAF and ITIL methodologies and delivering using them.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally to a wide range of people at all levels including communicating complex technical issues to non-technical user base.
