We are seeking multiple highly experienced Senior and Junior Automation Engineers on a contract basis (INSIDE IR35, Hybrid , 3 days per week in-office) to join our global organisation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation testing within a financial services environment—ideally with experience in settlement and payment systems.
Key Responsibilities & Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks, especially Cucumber and Gherkin.
- Write and maintain Java-based automated tests for microservices applications.
- Develop and execute detailed test plans, test suites, and test cases covering both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform manual testing where necessary to ensure coverage and reliability.
- Solid experience with J2EE architecture, including inter-service communication, logging, monitoring, authorization, and domain modeling.
- Manage the full defect lifecycle using tools like Quality Center (QC) or equivalents.
- Expertise in test strategy design across unit, integration, regression, functional, and performance testing.
- Proficiency with tools such as Eclipse IDE, Postman, REST-assured, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of microservices deployment patterns and cloud-native practices.
- Experience testing APIs, payment gateways, developer portals, and other FinTech systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- Ability to analyze risks, interpret complex datasets, and deliver actionable testing insights.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Self-driven and adaptable, with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- AWS certification or experience working in AWS-based test environments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native testing frameworks and tooling.
- FinTech, banking, or payments domain knowledge is a strong plus.
