About* the Role:*
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale technology change inbouttives across our organisation. You will be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of projects valued at £10 million+, ensuring robust governance, financial control, and project management discipline throughout.
This is a critical role requiring a proactive leader who thrives on driving complex change within structured frameworks while engaging senior stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex technology change projects, each with budgets exceeding £10 million.
Establish, embed, and maintain strong governance structures and project controls across all project phases.
Develop detailed project plans, defining scope, schedules, resources, and budgets.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, ensuring clear reporting and escalation pathways.
Ensure all project documentation adheres to internal standards, external compliance, and audit requirements.
Oversee financial management including forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, and reporting.
Drive stakeholder engagement across technology, business, and third-party suppliers to ensure alignment and support.
Monitor project health through regular status reporting, steering committee updates, and governance forums.
Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and conflict resolution as needed.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement in project delivery, governance, and controls.
Key Skills and Experience:
Proven experience managing technology change projects over £10 million in budget.
Strong knowledge of project governance, risk management, and financial control frameworks.
Demonstrated success delivering complex, multi-stream programs within regulated or structured environments.
Deep understanding of project methodologies such as PRINCE2, PMBOK, Agile (particularly at scale), or MSP.
Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to influence at C-Suite level and across technical and non-technical groups.
Skilled in project control disciplines: RAID management, change control, financial tracking, and benefits realisation.
Ability to thrive under pressure and manage competing demands with resilience and pragmatism.
Experience working with third-party vendors and managing contractual obligations desirable.
Strong commercial and business acumen with an eye for strategic alignment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (eg, Business, Technology, Engineering) or equivalent experience.
Project Management certification preferred (eg, PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, MSP).
