The World Gold Council is the market development organisation for the gold industry. Working with the investment, jewellery and technology sectors as well as engaging in government affairs, our purpose is to provide industry leadership, whilst stimulating and sustaining demand for gold.

Role Description

We are looking for a temporary Coding specialist. This is a project based/temporary assigmnent for someone to assist our forecasting framework. A Hybrid requirement to be in the office as and when required.

Project 1: Creation of “DeMark” indicators using paython to help identify trend exhaustion and trend reveral. Specifically the creation of DeMark Sequential (TD Sequential) and deMark Combo (TD Combo) indicators. Indicators will be used as part of a formalised forecasting framework of Gold over multiple time perods. Indicators can be applied to and market price series and asset class. Indicators will be available to be used by all R&S. 10- 20 hours max for this project

Project 2: Coding up MIDAS model using similar logic to code for Quarum but with more outputs. We anticipate 16-24 hours to complete this project

Looking for someone who is not just python focussed and can start with these two projects and may branch out to other projects.

Will also consider working with an agency that can supply a dedicated resource for these two projects at a reasonable rate.
