Technical Consultant / DITA Architect

The candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years’ production/commercial experience designing and implementing DITA based content management solutions. The candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing the functional and technical architecture of a solutions, and the ability to create proof-of-concept solutions for enterprise scale organizations. The candidate will also have experience with greenfield projects, and proven track record of delivering to a schedule.

It will be expected that the candidate will provide references and evidence of success in prior engagements.

Responsibilities

• Explore and document client needs for DITA/XML based content management and authoring solutions
• Research and present possible solutions to the client, explaining the benefits and considerations of options
• Design and build proof-of-concept solutions and demonstrate the features and functionality of potential solutions
• Design and implement a scaling production solution

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Prerequisites

• 5-7 years of experience in the field of XML and preferably in structured documentation
• A detail oriented mindset, with strong verbal and writing communication skills
• Experience in XML technologies, such as OxygenXML, Xpath, XSLT, XSD, Xquery, XProc
• A strong knowledge of DITA
• Experience with XML authoring tools and CCMS technologies (especially DITA compatible), as well as publishing technologies and portals

Position

• The position is expected to be primarily remote, with the potential need for infrequent in-person meetings/workshops
• Flexible working hours
• Per project basis

Renumeration

Rates offered will be relative to the experience and versatility of the candidate.
