We’re looking for a skilled Data Storytelling & Visualisation Freelancer to assist Dr. Eliza Filby, a leading Generations Expert and Sunday Times’ Bestselling author, in sourcing, analysing, and visualising data in an engaging and digestible manner.

Eliza specialises in speaking, writing and creating content on how the world is changing.

Her work explores how the different generations are living, working, and consuming

differently. This role will enhance Eliza’s work by translating complex data into

compelling visual narratives, making her research more accessible, engaging, and impactful for diverse audiences.

This role would be ideal for someone who has a strong analytical and data background, a keen interest in socio-economic trends, and a passion for data storytelling through engaging visual assets. You will be responsible for sourcing credible global data, ensuring accuracy, and transforming complex information into accessible, visually compelling graphics for use in Eliza’s presentations, speeches, newsletters, and social media content.

📅 Type: Freelance contract (flexible Hours)
🌍 Location: Remote (Preferably UK-based)
🕒 Time Commitment: At least 5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• 🔍 Data Sourcing & Analysis: Identify and extract relevant global data sets based on research topics provided by Dr. Eliza Filby (e.g. comparison data between generations in different countries etc).

• 📊 Data Visualisation: Present data and statistics in an engaging and user-friendly way, including using tools within Canva.

• 🎨 Presentation & Social Media Content: Create visually appealing infographics for professional presentations, written content and social media.

• ✅ Accuracy & Integrity: Ensure data is sourced from reputable sources (without using AI-based sourcing tools) and is presented accurately.

• ⏳ Timely Delivery: Work on weekly designated projects as well as on occasional ad-hoc tasks with quick turnaround times for data requests.

  Requirements

• 🌍 Global Data Expertise: Ability to independently find, analyse, and interpret socio-economic and demographic data from reputable global sources.

• 🖌 Design Proficiency: Proficiency in data visualisation and design tools, particularly Canva.

• 👀 Attention to Detail: Strong ability to present data in a clear, digestible, and visually engaging manner within our brand guidelines.

• 📈 Interest in Socio-Economic Trends: Passion for global socio-economic issues and generational research.

• ⏰ Time Management: Excellent ability to meet deadlines efficiently. Preferred Qualifications

• 🎓 Strong Background: with or working towards a Master’s degree or PhD in statistics, data science, economics, sociology, or a related discipline.

• 💾 Data Handling: Experience in working with large datasets and statistical analysis tools.

• 🎭 Creative Storytelling: Previous experience in data storytelling or infographic design.
