Job Summary

The job is inside of IR35 through an Umbrella Company and will be onsite 2 days a week (Near Swindon)

We are seeking detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and analysing complex data sets to help drive informed business decisions (ideally you would have worked with Actuaries before and similar data). This role requires proficiency in various data analysis tools and methodologies, as well as a strong understanding of big data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data

Responsibilities / Skills

  • Technical Proficiency
  • Matillion: ETL workflows, data pipeline development, cloud-based data warehouse integration (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Mulesoft: API-led connectivity, AnyPoint Platform, designing RAML/Swagger specifications, and building APIs.
  • Programming: Python, SQL, Java, or JavaScript.
  • Data Transformation: Proficiency in using JSON, XML, and CSV formats.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

2. Integration Design and Development

  • Ability to design scalable, secure, and efficient integration solutions.
  • Building real-time, batch, and event-driven integrations.
  • Implementing seamless system data flows.

3. Data Handling

  • ETL process design and development.
  • Robust error handling and data transformation techniques.
  • Managing large-scale datasets with a focus on performance and optimisation.

4. Agile & Testing

  • Working in Agile environments, participating in sprints, and using tools like JIRA.
  • Unit and integration testing to ensure quality.
  • Load and performance testing for high-volume scenarios.

Collaboration & Communication

5. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Translate business requirements into functional, technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment.

6. Code Reviews & Feedback

  • Conduct code reviews to maintain best practices and code quality.
  • Provide mentoring and technical guidance to team members.

Problem-Solving and Maintenance

7. Troubleshooting & Optimization

  • Resolve system or integration issues swiftly.
  • Optimize solutions for high performance and scalability.

  • Ensure solutions meet industry security standards (e.g., OAuth, JWT for API security).
  • Adherence to data privacy regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, etc.

  • Uphold standards for data integrity, access control, and governance.
