Contract Description

We are seeking a Data Consultant with expertise in alternative asset management to lead a comprehensive data review of our data platform and analytics capabilities. This role involves assessing data structures, governance, and reporting processes to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.

You must have worked in Asset Management previously and ideally within alternative assets

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing data platform, including architecture, integrations, and analytics capabilities.
- Evaluate data quality, governance, and lineage, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assess the effectiveness of data pipelines, ETL processes, and storage solutions.
- Work closely with investment, risk, and operations teams to understand data needs and reporting requirements.
- Provide recommendations for enhancing analytics capabilities, including dashboards, BI tools, and predictive modelling.
- Support the implementation of data best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Collaborate with technology teams (3rd parties) to define data architecture improvements for scalability and performance.

Key Skills & Experience

- Experience in alternative asset management (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, etc.).

- Working with IT 3rd parties
- Strong knowledge of data architecture, governance, and analytics tools.
- Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or other data manipulation tools.
- Familiarity with BI & visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.).
- Understanding of cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, SEC, ESG reporting) in financial data management.
- Excellent communication skills to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with alternative investment platforms (e.g., Aladdin, eFront, Snowflake, or other data warehouses).
- Prior involvement in data transformation projects within asset management.
- Familiarity with machine learning and predictive analytics is a plus.
