About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analyst – Data with expertise in asset management to support a comprehensive review of our data platform and analytics capabilities. The role will focus on gathering requirements, analysing data workflows, and improving data processes to enhance operational efficiency and decision-making. You will be working with a Lead Consultant to support with key documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather & document business requirements for data-related initiatives, engaging with key stakeholders across investment, risk, and operations teams.
  • Analyse existing data platforms, reporting structures, and data governance frameworks, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with technology teams and data engineers to define and validate data solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Assess and optimise data workflows, ETL processes, and data integration strategies.

Support the enhancement of BI & analytics tools, ensuring they provide accurate insights for investment decision-making.

  • Assist in data quality assessments and recommend improvements for data governance and compliance.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings, presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and actionable manner.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, ideally within alternative asset management (private equity, hedge funds, real estate, infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of data management, governance, and analytics processes.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technical data solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and Excel.
  • Experience working with data platforms, investment reporting, or data warehouses.
  • Understanding of alternative investment data structures and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex data concepts into business-friendly insights.

Preferred Qualifications

· Exposure to cloud-based data solutions (Azure, AWS, Snowflake)

· Familiarity with data transformation projects and Agile methodologies.
