Role: Head of Cloud

Location: London (Hybrid)

Duration: Temporary 6-12 months (Contract)

Key Essential Skills:

• Proven Leadership experience of managing Cloud and Software Engineering teams at a senior level
• A proven technical background working with related infrastructure technologies.
• Proven experience working in a senior technology role (eg technical/infrastructure/enterprise architect) within a public cloud environment (ideally with AWS or Azure) in a large enterprise environment.
• Exposure and awareness of modern day programming languages
• Demonstrable understanding of PaaS/SaaS/IaaS and use cases and best practices in public cloud.
• Proven awareness of the latest developments in today's public cloud industry (AWS/Azure etc) and related industry benchmark/best practice projects.
• Proven track record working in agile environments under a DevOps culture.
• Deep understanding of operating systems, network infrastructures, RDMS etc
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code software
• Exposure to automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of continuous integration - continuous deployment pipelines.
• Relevant cloud certifications (eg, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect)

Desirable Skills:

• Prior experience in the banking/financial services industry.
• Excellent planning and communication skills and able to lead conversations with development and product teams.
• Experience in managing cloud budgets and cost optimization strategies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Influencing and negotiation experience
