Lead Business Analyst - Cedant Onboarding Remote £400 - £500 per day outside ir35

Our client, a Reinsurance business, expands through new cedant agreements. This year, they aim to onboard at least four new cedants, integrating them into the business applications and services that Toucanberry Tech builds and maintains.

The onboarding process involves integrating each cedant's systems, data, and contractual specifics into the client's ecosystem. This enables the business to effectively manage key functions such as actuarial modelling, financial reporting, and investment strategy. While the onboarding framework is well-established, each cedant introduces unique complexities, including data structures, technology protocols, regulatory requirements, and bespoke business processes

Key Responsibilities

  • Requirements Assessment & Planning:

    • Evaluate the specific needs of each incoming cedant and develop a structured onboarding plan.

    • Identify potential challenges in data integration, technology compatibility, and regulatory compliance.

  • Business & Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Engage with key business stakeholders to understand and document cedant-specific requirements.

    • Ensure alignment between cedant data and operational processes within the reinsurance ecosystem.

  • Technology & Development Team Coordination:

    • Lead a software development team in executing all required onboarding activities.

    • Provide clear task prioritisation and guidance to ensure seamless integration.

    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to make onboarding more efficient.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain detailed records of onboarding activities, capturing key decisions and configurations.

    • Provide regular status reports to business leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and dependencies.

    • Mapping of data flows of the onboarding process

  • Agile Delivery & Team Leadership:

    • Run scrum ceremonies, ensuring structured collaboration across teams.

    • Foster a proactive and solution-oriented approach to managing onboarding challenges.

    • Coordinating with the wider Toucanberry team with onboarding and feeding to downstream applications.

    • Coordinating support tasks amongst the team to support services within the ecosystem.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that new cedants are successfully integrated while maintaining operational excellence. The primary requirement of this role is independent leadership, as you will be responsible for guiding the scrum team through all the onboarding activities, and taking a proactive approach, as the expertise for onboarding lies within our team.
