On behalf of UKRI, we are looking for a Data Quality Analyst (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in Swindon.

As a Data Quality Analyst, your main responsibilities will be:


Responsibilities:

  • Support ongoing development of the data management capabilities to improve data maturity.
  • Apply Privacy and Security by Design principles in all data initiatives, applying relevant policies.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships across the data team and other stakeholders throughout UKRI to achieve shared goals.
  • Deliver practical data stewardship capabilities, including data quality, business glossary & data lineage, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Engage with stakeholders and advise them on the application of the UKRI Data Management Framework and
  • jointly address data management-related issues.
  • Identify, analyse and address data quality issues, working with business colleagues as appropriate.


Essential:

  • Hands-on data analysis skills - including use of SQL and visualisation tools, e.g. Tableau.
  • Experience using data profiling and process automation to manage and support data governance and data quality improvements.
  • Demonstrable experience of data governance and management principles and practice, including data quality management, lineage & catalogues, metadata management, and data lifecycle management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain effective working relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Confident using the relevant statutory frameworks such as the GDPR and other data privacy regulations to drive good data management practice.
  • Hands-on experience with data governance and management tooling, with the exposure to the Talend Data Fabric toolset is an advantage.


Desirable:

  • Knowledge of statistical and analytical programming languages such as Python or R.
