Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage project(s) and project team(s). The Project Manager will be responsible for driving and overseeing the delivery of the project(s) to ensure that the objectives are clearly defined and achieved.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the project to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost and quality constraints.
• Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the project and project team, ensuring effective controls are in place.
• Design the project structure and organisation according to each stage, setting the appropriate delivery methodologies and managing transitions between project phases.
• Develop and draft the business case, collaborating with specialists as needed.
• Create and manage the budget, ensuring delivery within budget constraints.
• Identify skill requirements, deploy resources and develop a large project team.
• Deliver the business case benefits and outcomes, ensuring a Benefits Realisation Strategy is in place and monitor long term delivery against the business case.
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring senior-level support is secured as needed.
• Proactively Identify and manage project risks and issues, developing mitigating actions and escalating as appropriate. Coordinate with related projects to manage interdependencies.
• Support effective governance and decision making, providing regular reporting and ensuring accountability for delivery.
• Participate in assurance reviews and support actions on recommendations, including organising processes like Gateway reviews.
• Implement effective Change Management processes to agree and document any changes to deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to the project team, promoting individual and team development.
• Cascade the project vision into actionable delivery objectives for the team and develop/maintain the Project Plan.
• Set appropriate project controls, monitor team performance and report progress to sponsors.
• Ensure oversight of compliance with HSE, quality and contract management procedures.
• Resolve obstacles to strategy delivery and lead creative problem solving to overcome challenges.
• Report of progress against milestones, changes, exceptions, budgets and key performance indicators through the established reporting mechanisms and dashboard.

Experience
The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience in contract project management, preferably using NEC4.
• Exceptional skills in people management, negotiation and communication.
• Track record of developing high performing teams and fostering individual growth.
• Solid experience in financial management.
• Skilled in collaborating within scientific and engineering teams.
• A degree or substantial experience in a scientific or engineering related discipline.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• High standard of leadership in project management.
• Passionate about developing people and advancing the P3M profession.
