We are looking for a Java eTrading Developer with strong hands-on development experience and a solid understanding of fixed-income products to join our team. The ideal consultant will have a proven track record of developing and enhancing electronic trading platforms for rates, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write high-quality, clean, and efficient Java code for new features and enhancements on the eTrading platform.

  • Work with platforms like Bloomberg, TradeWeb, and other eTrading systems to develop and integrate functionality.

  • Apply knowledge of fixed income products, including bond pricing and swaps, to ensure accurate and effective solutions.

  • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Work closely with quants, traders, and product managers to gather requirements and provide technical solutions.

  •  Analyse and resolve performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of the platform.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint goals, and ensure timely delivery of assigned tasks.

 

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Java, with hands-on experience in building high-performance, low-latency systems.

  • Strong understanding of fixed income markets, pricing of bonds, swaps, and other rates products.

  • Familiarity with platforms like Bloomberg and TradeWeb, with the ability to integrate and work with their APIs.

  • Experience working in Agile environments with a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and version control tools (e.g., Git).

  • Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a proactive approach to solving technical challenges.

  • Previous experience in a front-office environment is a plus.

  • Experience with market data feeds, FIX protocols, and electronic trading platforms.
