Role Overview: We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Cyber Security Tutor/Assessor to deliver and assess the NCFE Level 4 Diploma: Cyber Security Engineer qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to learners, ensuring they achieve their full potential and are well-prepared for careers in cyber security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Learning:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons covering all units of the NCFE Level 4 Diploma: Cyber Security Engineer, including:
- Principles of Cyber Security
- Cyber Security Architecture
- Legislation, Policies, and Procedures in Cyber Security
- Threat Intelligence in Cyber Security
- Risk Assessment in Cyber Security
- Cyber Security Management
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assessment:
- Develop and implement assessment plans that meet NCFE requirements.
- Assess learners' work and provide constructive feedback to support their progression.
- Maintain accurate records of learners' progress and achievements.
- Curriculum Development:
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of course materials and resources.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in cyber security to ensure the curriculum remains current and relevant.
- Quality Assurance:
- Participate in internal and external quality assurance processes to uphold the standards of the qualification.
- Ensure all teaching and assessment practices comply with NCFE guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Learner Support:
- Provide academic and pastoral support to learners, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Identify and address individual learning needs, adapting teaching methods accordingly.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Essential:
- Relevant qualification in Cyber Security or a related field at Level 4 or above.
- Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in delivering and assessing cyber security qualifications.
- Up-to-date knowledge of cyber security principles, practices, and industry standards.
- Desirable:
- Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) qualifications.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with online and blended learning methodologies.
