Technical Product Manager - Contract - £550 Inside IR35

 

London-based - On-site work in North London 2dpw

 

This role is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, commercially driven technology team, alongside a number of other technology specialists and supplier partners. You will be passionate about the practical application of technology in the entertainment sector, with a professional or personal interest in online video delivery. You will have a background in software development or a closely related technical discipline with some experience in system design but are looking for a role with a broader remit where you can employ your skills across the entire technology estate. You will be involved in configuration management and executing Proof of Concepts (POCs) to assess and implement new technologies and solutions.

 

Working within the technology team, you will be responsible for the design and development of core systems and delivering our media client's content to its audiences across an increasing range of digital platforms and devices.

 

  • Configuration management - Manage the maintenance & change of application configurations across a number of internal backend systems
  • Requirement analysis and proofs of concept (POCs) - Analyse business requirements, evaluate the suitability of third-party solutions or proposed in-house builds, and deploy & validate POCs of the above
  • Product ownership - Take the role of product owner for some of the frontend and backend services, specifying user stories, test cases, and integration specifications
  • Operational support & troubleshooting - work with operational teams to ensure products can be supported operationally, define processes, and troubleshoot issues (including with tools such as Wireshark and Charles Proxy)
  • Scripting & automation - Use scripting tools like Python to automate tasks & perform data processing
