We are currently seeking an experienced IT/EPOS Installation Engineer to join our team on a sub-contractor basis. The role will involve carrying out PED (Payment Entry Device) upgrades for a prestigious hospitality client in and around London and the South East. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high-profile client and contribute to the enhancement of their IT infrastructure.

Overview:

  • Outside of IR35
  • Pay varies based on client/project allocation, with mileage claims at 20p per mile for trips over 100 miles round trip.
  • Monday to Friday, with both day and night shifts available.
  • Nationwide travel required, so access to a vehicle is essential.
  • Hotels will be arranged by our Projects Team based on location, with meal allowances provided.
  • Engineers are eligible to claim expenses, including parking, tolls, and congestion charges (excluding ULEZ).
  • Responsible for the installation, refurbishment, and maintenance of EPOS hardware, Wi-Fi, and IT equipment across the hospitality industry, including pubs, restaurants, service stations, retail outlets, and drive-thru services.
  • Installation, testing, and configuration of IT and EPOS systems.
  • Planned and reactive maintenance of all on-site equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults to the component level.
  • Provide a courteous, efficient, and professional service at all times.
  • Conduct installations in line with client specifications, ensuring full compliance.
  • Undertake site surveys and audits.
  • Complete documentation and reports promptly for review.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Have experience in configuring and commissioning IT equipment.
  • Possess excellent communication skills, as the role involves collaborating with other engineers and liaising with clients.
  • Remain calm and professional in what can sometimes be a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, particularly in a multi-tasking environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • CSCS/ECS card holder.
  • Asbestos Awareness Certification.
  • £2 Million Public Liability Insurance.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
