Overview
The Senior Projects Lead provides leadership across multiple programmes within BUD Leaders including our flagship Springboard Academy, our ChallengeX2 campaign, and one other ongoing client project. This role is pivotal in overseeing and delivering the planning, implementation, and evaluation of each of these programmes and projects, ensuring that each one achieves its objectives and aligns with BUD’s strategic goals. The role requires strategic oversight, robust project management, effective relationship building, and people management skills.
Being our Senior Projects Lead also involves direct engagement with participants from our network, as well as line managing one member of staff. As such, exceptional people skills will be essential. You should be confident in designing and delivering online or in-person sessions aligned with each programme or project’s objectives. You should bring flair, energy and inspiration in everything you do!
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management
- Overseeing up to three BUD Leaders programmes and projects
- Ensure each programme or project meets it’s agreed outcomes with the client, as well as working within BUD Leaders’ strategic objectives
- Identify risks of new and existing programmes, supporting the team to use robust risk management processes
- Develop processes to measure impact using qualitative and quantitative methods in line with our overall impact measurement framework
- Regularly reporting on each project or programme, using project management tools and software to provide concrete evidence on our achievements and value within our programmes
- Managing relationships with existing partners and stakeholders to maintain and enhance BUD’s reputation
- Develop annual programme budgets and monitor income and expenditure against them.
- Contract management and financial/ risk management.
Project Delivery
- Leading or supporting on the delivery of up to three BUD Leaders programmes and projects
- Creating sessions plans to meet project objectives
- Facilitating workshops both online and in person with enthusiasm and flexibility
- Maintaining positive relationships with participants, ensuring a joyful experience with BUD Leaders
- Meet deliverables and milestones set in a timely manner.
People Management
- Leading and motivating our Project Lead role, supporting them to grow and develop by helping them implement the recommendations outlined in their personal development plan.
- Ensuring project held within line management responsibility is operating efficiently and within its targets
- Creating and maintaining an inclusive and collaborative work culture that represents BUDs values and mission.
Organisational Development
· Seeking opportunities to develop existing relationships into longer partnerships
· Writing BIDs and proposals to extend or amplify existing projects where necessary
· Working collaboratively with other team members with general strategic planning in keeping with the organisation’s objectives, taking responsibility in the delivery of high quality and impactful programmes.

Person Specification
Essential Experience and Skills
· Proven track record in programme and project management, delivering measurable outcomes.
· Experience in risk management and financial oversight, including budget development and monitoring.
· Strong facilitation skills, with the ability to lead engaging workshops both online and in person.
· Experience in managing complex client requirements, including co-designing programmes with a range of stakeholders
· Experience in developing and implementing impact measurement processes using qualitative and quantitative methods
· Developing annual reports for stakeholders
· Relationship management expertise, with the ability to maintain and grow partnerships with key stakeholders.
· Competence in using project management tools and CRM systems for tracking progress and reporting.
· Demonstrable ability to write compelling bids and proposals to secure funding or amplify existing projects.
· Proven experience in leading and motivating team members, supporting their professional growth.
· Ability to create and maintain an inclusive and collaborative workplace culture.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport across diverse audiences.

Desirable Experience and Skills

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Freelance

Pay: £190.00-£240.00 per day
