Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Data Science Technician with expertise in the Palantir suite of software. This role involves working on high-profile projects within secure environments, where you will be tasked with leveraging data science and Palantir’s advanced analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights and solutions. The successful candidate will be embedded in client teams, collaborating closely with stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Palantir Platform Management: Utilise Palantir Foundry and Gotham to integrate, analyse, and visualise large and complex datasets. Tailor the platform to meet the specific needs of the client, ensuring maximum effectiveness.
  • Data Science & Analytics: Apply advanced data science techniques including machine learning, statistical modelling, and predictive analytics to uncover patterns and trends in client data. Provide recommendations and insights that contribute to decision-making.
  • Collaborative Solutions Delivery: Work closely with client teams to define and implement data workflows and analytics pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with operational processes.
  • Client Interaction: Liaise with client stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and provide technical expertise on data science solutions. Assist in the translation of complex technical concepts into business value.
  • Security & Compliance: Work within client security frameworks and ensure all data handling complies with the necessary legal and regulatory requirements, including the handling of sensitive and classified information.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot issues within the Palantir platform, ensuring effective use of tools and addressing any technical challenges that arise in client operations.
  • Training & Knowledge Sharing: Provide support and guidance to client teams on using the Palantir platform effectively. Facilitate training sessions to upskill client staff on data science techniques and the platform’s functionality.


Key Skills and Experience:

  • Palantir Expertise: Proficiency with the Palantir suite of software, including Palantir Foundry and Gotham, in both operational and analytical contexts.
  • Data Science Knowledge: Strong experience in data science methodologies, including machine learning, data mining, and statistical analysis. Hands-on experience with Python, R, or similar programming languages.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively to address client needs.


Qualifications:

  • A degree or experience in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain clearance (essential for certain client projects).
