Overview:

We are currently looking for a talented Junior Full Stack Java Web Developer to join our team on a remote contractor basis. As a junior member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with technologies, including Java, Servlets, SQL, Git, AWS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience in developing and maintaining web applications while working remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain Java- based web applications.

• Assist in implementing server-side logic using servlets for seamless integration of front-end elements.

• Support the development and optimisation of SQL queries to interact with databases efficiently.

• Work closely with teams to define, design, and ship new features.

• Ensure the responsiveness, performance, and security of applications across various platforms.

• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging issues to maintain application stability.

• Contribute to the implementation of security best practices to safeguard application data and infrastructure.

• Utilise Git for version control and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Assist in deploying and managing applications on AWS infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 1+ years of experience in Java programming language.

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with servlets and web application development.

• Basic knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Exposure to version control systems, preferably Git.

• Interest in learning and working with AWS services.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines.
