Job Description:We are seeking an experienced freelance SEO Specialist and Copywriter to enhance our website's performance and help us expand our online visibility. You will play a key role in implementing and refining our SEO strategy, optimising our site for search engines, and producing engaging, keyword-optimised copy that speaks to our target audience in the luxury event space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SEO Strategy Development and Execution
  • Review and analyse the existing SEO audit, challenge assumptions if necessary, and use it as a foundation to define a comprehensive SEO strategy.
  • Identify and define the most relevant keywords for Woolly Mammoth to target, aligning with our industry and target audience.
  • Copywriting and Content Optimisation
  • Create keyword-rich, engaging copy for our web pages that accurately reflects our brand’s tone and appeal.
  • Ensure all content is aligned with SEO best practices and integrates seamlessly with the user experience on our website.
  • Metadata Management
  • Write and integrate optimised meta descriptions, title tags, and other necessary metadata for all website pages.
  • Update and maintain the site map, and ensure the list of indexed pages is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Performance Monitoring and Adjustments
  • Use tools like Google Search Console and other relevant software to monitor site performance and make data-driven adjustments to improve our rankings and visibility.
  • Track and report on SEO KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • WordPress Integration
  • Directly implement content updates and SEO changes in WordPress, ensuring smooth functionality and accurate representation across all pages.

  • Link-Building
  • Identify and reach out to relevant influencers, industry experts, and websites to acquire high-quality backlinks.
  • Analyse competitors’ backlinks using tools like SEMrush, leveraging insights to enhance our link-building strategy.
  • Explore paid backlink opportunities to boost site authority and ranking.

Requirements:

  • English speaker/writer with a strong command of SEO-focused copywriting.
  • Proven experience defining and implementing SEO strategies in alignment with business goals.
  • Proficiency in keyword research, metadata management, and using Google Search Console.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, with the ability to integrate content and manage SEO configurations directly.
  • Experience using SEO tools such as SEMrush, Moz, or similar.
