Valcon UK are looking to recruit a self-motivated, highly logical and intellectually curious Data Architect to our growing Data capability in the UK. As a growing business area, the ideal candidate will have the opportunity to help shape the technical and business landscape, whilst delivering a variety of challenging projects.

To be considered for this position you must display professional experience with Salesforce, Azure & Snowflake.

You will be:

  • Engaging with Customers to understand requirements for defining their strategy
  • Defining and creating data strategies and roadmaps
  • Defining current mode of operation (CMO), transition mode of operation (TMO) and future mode of operation (FMO) state architectures
  • Generating Conceptual and/or High-Level Design to support data architectures
  • You will bring together the data architecture design for the data layer
  • Working with vendors and suppliers and reviewing provided designs
  • Leading Data Architecture Engagements and promoting Frameworks where necessary
  • Defining end-to-end Data Architectures
  • Leading and developing architecture teams
  • Joining the dots between Business, Technology and Data architectures
  • Input into the shaping of Data Architecture engagements.
  • Deliver Data Architecture engagements with/for our clients.

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Expert knowledge of Salesforce
  • Azure and Snowflake
  • Deep and proven experience in defining, developing, and managing data architectures in large and complex organisations and enterprise architectures.
  • Comfortable developing and shaping the architectural vision.
  • Ability to operate in demanding situations whilst still having relentless drive to deliver with enthusiasm.
  • Proven expertise in data science concepts, tools, as well as Datamodelling and reference data architectures.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient experience with data architecture and modelling tools such as Sparx, Erwin, and Archi.
  • Experience with consulting-led sales.
  • Deep hands-on experience of relational and dimensional Datamodelling.
