The Software Developer M365 will comply with the Department for Education security policies and processes in respect of their own role within Technology Directorate.Key ResponsibilitiesWork with various stakeholders to analyse business requirements, design a solution, build and deploy (including change and release processes, testing and user guidance) SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform business servicesMaintain existing SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Platform solutions, implement strong supporting governance and ensure prompt response to problem resolutionEvaluate existing systems, solutions and processes and provide ideas for improvementsAuthor and execute PowerShell scripts that automate routine administrative tasksAbility to self-manage workload and work to deadlinesHelp mentor and coach members of the team as well as have an aspiration to gain new knowledge and skills, keeping up to date with emerging technologies and the changing landscapeEssentialExperience using PowerFX programming language create complex functions in Power Apps and Power Automate.Knowledge and experience of application development (minimum 1 year commercial experience)Front-end web development skills e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScriptExperience of developing and managing solutions built using SharePoint Online and Power Platform.Experience in working with M365 (Sharepoint Admin Centre, Teams, Delve and Search Admin)Knowledge and experience of scripting using PowerShellExcellent communication skills with system users and vendors to identify, explain, and resolve complex problemsPassion to keep up to date with developments SharePoint Online and PowerPlatform.DesirableKnowledge and experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx).Experience in React, TypeScript or any other front-end toolsExperience in involvement in SharePoint migrations
