We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Desktop Engineer to join our team based in London, SE1. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and managing user on-boarding processes, virtual desktop environments, and providing technical assistance across various platforms. You will work collaboratively with IT and project teams to ensure efficient operations and high-quality user support.
The role will start as an initial 3-6 months contract assignment however majority of the contractors been on site for a few years so extension is highly likely.
This is a 3/4 day office based role with 1 (potentially 2) day of remote working.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Management: Oversee the on-boarding, modification, and off-boarding processes for users, including mobile device setup and deployment. Account creation, support, and management across Office 365 (distribution lists, Teams, file-sharing tools)
- Account Administration: AD Create, support, and manage user accounts across cloud services, including distribution lists, collaboration tools, and file-sharing platforms.
- Mobile Device Support: Handle mobile device requests and configurations, and provide support for multi-factor authentication (MFA) solutions.
- Network Assistance: Provide support for network connectivity issues, including WiFi access and troubleshooting.
- Queue Management: Manage and triage support queues for cloud and IT project teams, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
- Legacy Systems Support: Assist with Legacy desktop systems and facilitate secure remote access solutions for users.
- End-User Support: Deliver technical support for printing and desktop environments across multiple locations, addressing user concerns effectively.
- Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) in all support activities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in technical support, user management, or a similar role.
- Understanding of virtual desktop environments and cloud services.
- Familiarity with mobile device management and multi-factor authentication.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
