About the role:

 

We are seeking a Collibra Data Governance Consultant to join our team for an initial 3-month contract, with a view to extending based on performance and project needs. You will be responsible for ensuring that an organization's data assets are properly managed and utilized in accordance with policies and regulations. This role will involve working closely with key stakeholders, including IT, legal, compliance, and business teams, to develop and implement data governance strategies that align with the organization's goals. 

 

What You'll Be Doing:

 

  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement data governance frameworks using the Collibra Data Governance Center. 
  • Develop and maintain data policies, standards, and guidelines in collaboration with key stakeholders. 
  • Conduct data lineage analysis to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the organization. 
  • Define data quality rules and develop monitoring processes to ensure ongoing data quality. 
  • Work with data stewards to improve data quality across the organization. 
  • Develop data governance metrics to measure and report on data quality, compliance, and the overall effectiveness of data governance initiatives. 
  • Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance and data quality policies, processes, and best practices. 
  • Collaborate with team members to develop innovative solutions and improve the overall effectiveness of the data governance and data quality program. 
  • Align on milestones, ownership, and dates across the team. 
  • Help accelerate the implementation of data governance at the client in the legal sector. 
  • Work with the client to identify business challenges that could be solved by data governance. 
  • Provide a detailed delivery plan with timelines (subject to change depending on engagement). 
  • Define and identify ownership and how functions contribute. 
  • Work with the client to identify and assign the data governance personas. 
  • Identify the Data Steward and Data Owner, along with other required roles, detailing their day-to-day responsibilities. 
  • Define the data governance process, including onboarding. 
  • Create a Business Requirement Document and engage stakeholders. 
  • Create a data catalog/dictionary and implement tools based on business use cases. 
  • Train data stewards and other roles to effectively fulfill their responsibilities. 
  • Develop training materials for the different personas at the client in the legal sector. 

 

What You'll Need:

 

  • Proven experience in implementing Collibra Data Governance Center solutions in a consulting role. 
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data governance and data quality, including GDPR and other statutory and legislative requirements. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Eagerness to learn and expand knowledge in all things data governance and data quality.
