The Senior Java Software Engineer will be working as part of a small team, focused on improving the performance of a newly acquired product and integrating it into existing products, stabilising the current codebase to enable new functionality and managing the performance to reduce scaling costs.

Acting as the internal expert on SOLR and Lucene, you will work with our CTO and technical leadership team to produce a strategic plan for the product codebase, deliver on upgrades, fast code changes in a live environment, so awareness and ability to plan, document and rollback changes will be essential.

Requirements

• Experience with SOLR, Lucene, and Zookeeper will be crucial for the role, especially in performance analysis and diagnostics.
• Applicants should have experience with Java codebases and preferably possess knowledge of Postgres databases, as well as experience in enhancing and upgrading existing codebases to boost application performance using SOLR.
• Knowledge of AWS will be advantageous
