Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Delivery Manager with strong AWS knowledge to lead and manage the delivery of cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate will coordinate and oversee technical projects, ensuring successful implementation on AWS infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions meet business objectives while adhering to best practices and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Delivery: Define project scope, create detailed project plans, and manage the delivery of technical solutions on AWS infrastructure.

AWS Expertise: Leverage deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) to guide the technical team in building scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including cloud engineers, DevOps, and software developers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Stakeholder Management: Act as the key point of contact for business stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of progress, risks, and project status.

Risk and Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project delivery is not compromised.

AWS Best Practices: Ensure that technical solutions adhere to AWS best practices and Well-Architected Framework principles for scalability, security, and cost optimization.

Vendor Management: Oversee third-party vendors or contractors as needed, ensuring they meet agreed delivery standards and timelines.

Resource Management: Ensure effective allocation and utilization of technical resources across multiple projects.

Change Management: Oversee and manage change requests, ensuring minimal disruption to delivery timelines.

Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in project delivery and cloud operations.

Budget Management: Track project budgets and ensure financial goals are met or exceeded.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of Technical Delivery Management experience, ideally in cloud-based projects.

Strong AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with key AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation, and IAM.

Cloud Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with AWS architecture, cloud-native development, and DevOps practices.

Project Management Expertise: Proven track record of managing large-scale technical projects using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.

Experience in Agile Methodologies: Ability to manage delivery in Agile/Scrum environments and work with product teams in backlog prioritization.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to manage risks, issues, and bottlenecks during delivery.

AWS Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred.

Experience with DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated cloud deployment.

Budgeting and Cost Optimization: Ability to manage project budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Enterprise Environments: Experience working in large-scale, distributed projects in a corporate setting.

Vendor and Contract Management: Experience in managing third-party vendors and outsourcing agreements.

AWS Well-Architected Framework: Knowledge of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and the ability to implement its principles in project delivery.

Tools: Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello.
