ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Cybersecurity Technical Directors Office are a global team within the Cybersecurity Global Defense organization. We are responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for number of critical Cybersecurity controls across the organization, as well providing subject matter expert consulting and project support to other areas of the HSBC business, ensuring project delivery across the organization successfully meets Cybersecurity requirements.

We are looking for an experienced Network Security Analyst with specific experience of internet access risks, preferably including experience of securely accessing Microsoft SaaS services such as M365, Intune, etc.to provide Cybersecurity assessment and support for an End User Services transformation program.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage engagement with the End User Services team, to understand their requirements.
  • Lead Cybersecurity assessment of the project requirements to identify risks and non-compliance with Network Security control requirements.
  • Investigate and develop automated, repeatable assessment process for assessing service URLs for domain fronting risk.
  • Ensure technical decisions are made by the right SMEs and in a timely manner.
  • Manage clear communication with Cybersecurity management and End User Services stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity Operations and Threat Hunting teams to ensure their concerns are understood and covered in the security assessment.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE REQUIRE

  • Good understanding of Network Security principles and technologies.
  • Experience in internet access security control and policy, including proxy servers (Blue Coat, Zscaler, McAfee/SkyHigh).
  • Experience of Microsoft services and security considerations for safe usage including M365, Intune.
  • Familiarity with the risks associated with content delivery networks and SaaS services.
  • Familiarity with domain fronting as an attack technique.
  • Experience working with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
  • Coding/scripting experience using Python.
  • Experience in navigating complex organisations.
  • Experiencing in understanding / digesting complex technologies and technical issues rapidly and efficiently.

OPTIONAL/NICE TO HAVE

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure desirable.
