The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is responsible for welfare, pensions, and child maintenance policy. As a Digital Performance Analyst you deliver performance analysis that helps services to meet the Government's Digital by Default Service Standard.The key purpose of this role is to deliver accurate and efficient performance reporting and analytical insight for the digital services that you work with.As a Digital Performance Analyst your main responsibilities will be to:Take a leading role in the development of the performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the service and build dashboards and provide in depth reports to communicate key metrics.Support digital teams to understand how their service meets the user needs, supports their business case and adds value to DWP.Support the digital team to ensure their service meets the requirements set out in the GDS Service Standard. Working with services teams to encourage evidence driven design and iteration of their services.Lead on the development of performance measurement frameworks including key performance indicators (KPIs).Work with other DPAs and the data community to follow common practices.Find and use a variety of data sources to meet analytical requirements. Including, but not limited to, Google Analytics data, Operational Data, back-end service data and MI data.Carry out quality analysis to answer questions and support decision making.Report back performance measurement to the team and internal stakeholdersEssential:Experience in performance measurement and implementing measurement frameworks.Experience of communicating analysis and insight to turn complex data into compelling, clear and actionable stories.Experience of User Centred Analysis to integrate digital analytics with qualitative data, such as user surveys and user research, to develop hypotheses for testing.SQL programming skills and experience.Experience of working with Google Analytics.Proficiency in analysis and visualisation tools.
