Python Developer (KDB+) at Platinum Group, London, £Contract Rate

Platinum Group is seeking a Python/Q Developer to work onsite with a leading Investment Bank in London. The role involves developing and integrating and a PyKX solution to allow front office quants to code in Python while leveraging the KDB+ platform without needing expertise in KDB/Q.

This will involve two phases: The Python/Q code integration, followed by API development for quantitative and trading applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Python/Q code Integration

• Build a framework to integrate Python with KDB+, abstracting KDB/Q complexity for Python users.
• Ensure efficiency, scalability, and security in the integration process.

2. API & FunctionDevelopment:

• Develop Python APIs tailored to quantitative analysts and traders, enabling real-time analytics and trading models.
• Collaborate with quants and trading teams to build performance-focused tools.

3. Collaboration&Support:

• Work closely with KDB+/Q developers and Python quants to ensure smooth functionality.
• Provide support and create documentation for end users.

4. Maintenance & Optimisation:

• Maintain and enhance the Python/Q integration and APIs over the project's duration.

Required Skills:

• Strong Python development skills

• Experience in KDB+/Q.

• API development experience, especially for financial or quantitative systems.

• Familiarity with financial markets and trading systems.

• System integration and Real Time data handling expertise.
